Antique French Rococo style Eighteenth Century heavy cast bronze finial

A wonderful antique French cast bronze finial, extremely heavy and solid metal.
This finial may have been used on a railing or staircase, either indoors or outside of an Eighteenth Century Chateau or Maison Particulair.
The finial features crisp, sharp cast detail of foliate motifs, in lobes around the body of the finial, with gadrooning around the base. The top is a circlet of leaves or petals. This is Eighteenth Century Rococo in style and probably dates from the period 1750 to 1780.
There is a little tarnish, patination and discolouring to this antique object, it would benefit from a clean and polish.
Price is for one single antique decorative item.

Please allow plenty of transit time, as European post is notoriously slow! Please also note that deliveries within France are made to a Pont Relais collection point, there are usually a number of these located in shops and supermarkets in each town, and you will be given the opportunity to specify which one you prefer. Deliveries to other European destinations are generally to your doorstep.
