Antique French Monogram ink stamp cipher or wax seal initials BP

Antique French monogram seal or cipher with pretty white metal impressed patterned handle.
The design of the decoration on the handle appears to be mistletoe, so perhaps this was a love token or Christmas gift, the square cipher attached to the base has the initials BP.
The size of the item is approximately 9cm high, and the stamp is approx 1.5cm wide while the handle is 1.75cm wide at the broadest point.
The stamp is a little timeworn, the base plate is slightly bent but the letters still print well.
The date of the piece is probably around 1890-1910, based on the slightly art-nouveau design of the decoration. It could be older but is unlikely to be Twentieth Century. There is a good aged patina. This is a beautiful antique French item which would make a lovely gift.

Otherwise I will select the shop with the longest opening hours within your area. If you would prefer La Poste domestic delivery PLEASE ASK for a quote.
Deliveries to most other European destinations are generally to your doorstep unless it is much cheaper to use Pont Relais.
Outside of Europe we use La Poste International parcel service.
The sales tax is included in any sales so there should be nothing extra due to pay when your parcel arrives, subject to customs clearance. *The customer is responsible for any import duties incurred for an item. We will require a PHONE NUMBER to add to the customs forms, to help prevent any delays or transit problems. If you refuse delivery of an item due to customs costs, please be aware that your parcel's postage costs will be forfeit, although we are happy to refund the item purchase price upon return.

Obvious damage and faults will always be mentioned in our descriptions but minor age-related condition issues are not considered a detriment.
