Antique French cast metal rococo style bronze d'or chamber candle stick

A heavy and well cast bronze d'or metal candlestick with aged patina.
A unique piece from the 19th century or perhaps before. The form is foliate with motifs of pierced acanthus leaves and scrolls in an asymetrical and naturalistic rococo design.
The leaf shape of the candle holder sits on three little feet. The handle sweeps upwards in a naturalistic curve, keeping the holders hand away from the hot wax and flame.
The urn shaped cup for the candle has ribbed decoration at the base and engraved or impressed swirls of decoration on the body of the cup, beneath a fluted canopy to prevent wax spills. This is a little dented.
This piece puts one in mind of wee willie winkie and would perhaps have been used at the table or desk to illuminate one's writing, and then to light the way up stairs to bed.
Size approx height 7.5cm, width across base 13cm, length 24cm. This item fits most standard dinner candles.
The item is in good antique condition although there is a residue of cleaning product or a polish which would benefit from removal to enhance the visual appearance of the candlestick.
