Antique French floral hand decorated ironstone Luneville Art Deco period kitchen canister set

Antique French faience ironstone china canisters set with hand painted floral decoration, and removable lids.
The pattern is hand painted in bright broad strokes of colour, a floral design of daisies reminiscent of Quimper in both style and colour. The makers stamp is K and G Luneville, a well renowned and historic French terre de ferre faience producer.
Each of the jars has ribbed detail fanning out from the base corners, and the lid handle is stepped in semi circles.The colour palette of the floral decoration is blue, green, orange and red, with a blue band around the rim. The decoration is all painted by hand in broad strokes.

This type of item would have been used throughout the Twentieth Century for storing dry goods in the French kitchen or pantry.
We usually date these items to the middle of the Twentieth Century, but these pieces are probably earlier, I am assuming they are from the 1920s because the styling is shouting Art Deco. It is not always possible to date accurately when items are produced in the same style over a long period of time.

This is a set of three lidded canisters, of varying size. As they don't have any labels or lettering, you can assign whatever contents you like to them.
The largest pot is approx 21cm h and 12cm by 14cm at the lid.
The smallest pot is approx 14cm high, and the lid is 10 by 8.5cm.

Price is for three antique lidded jars, the set of canisters.
Condition is good for the age of the items, on the lid of the smallest jar there are several nibbles. The flowers are bright and vibrant. The glaze is only just beginning to crackle in places, but two of the jars have faint hairline cracks starting in the bodies. Please see photos for condition before you commit to purchase.

Otherwise I will select the shop with the longest opening hours within your area. Deliveries to most other European destinations are generally to your doorstep unless it is much cheaper to use Pont Relais.

This situation is becoming easier as time goes by. The sales tax is being included in any sales so there should be nothing extra due to pay when your parcel arrives, subject to customs clearance.
