Pretty antique style vintage French gilt metal lustre hung wall light with glass cups

A very pretty and sparkly wall light fitting in antique style, hung with an array of cut glass drops or lustres, and having glass cups for each of the two branches.
This wall light combines elements of classical design with rococo style.
Each arm is formed in the design of scrolling acanthus leaves and stems, while the back plate is a cartouche shape with foliage surrounding it. The cups are formed from glass saucers with cut glass decoration to refract more light. There are clusters of glass drops called lustres hanging from the arms, the purpose of these was to amplify and bounce the light around.
The light fitting on each side is covered by a mock candle sleeve with wax drips. The finish of these light fittings is antique gilt colour.
The pieces are cast metal with a gilt finish.
Size approx height of back plate 19 cm, width 7cm, Total width 21cm, depth 17cm. Measurements do not include the glass lustres.
As with all vintage and antique lighting, these should be wired and installed by a qualified electrician.
