Vintage French woven Hazel petite harvest basket panier

A charming small vintage or antique French harvest basket with woven hazel twig body and bent stripped wood handle.
The shape is squared off at each end, forming a neat oblong. The handle is held into place with woven diamond patterns each side.
This rather lovely small rustic country-made basket is in used but good vintage condition, perfectly useable for collection, display and storage of eggs, fruits, mushrooms, nuts and other kitchen goodies, or even bathroom soaps & toiletries, office sundries, threads and yarns, crafting supplies... the only limit on its use is your imagination.

Small amount of wear and minor splitting to the twigs. The twigs are in two colours, a deep red natural bark colour and a mustard beige colour which may be painted or a variation on the bark, this is peeling in places.
One side has a splash of yellow paint on it. Please look at the photos for condition.

DELIVERY INFORMATION: We are able to post out parcels from Metropolitan France and shipping fees are shown. Please allow plenty of transit time, as European post is notoriously slow!

If you refuse delivery of an item due to customs costs, please be aware that your parcel's postage costs will be forfeit, although we are happy to refund the item purchase price upon return.
We use La Poste international parcel service outside of Europe.
**Please note that deliveries within France are usually made by courier to a Pont Relais collection point, there are usually a number of these located in shops and supermarkets in each town, and you WILL usually be given the opportunity to specify which one you prefer if this service is available for your location. Otherwise I will select the shop with the longest opening hours within your area. If you prefer La Poste domestic delivery, PLEASE ASK for a quote.
Deliveries to other European destinations are generally to your doorstep unless very much cheaper from a collection point, we try to offer the best value delivery service for you.


Our items are carefully selected antique and vintage pieces from France and they show the character and charm of years of use. We do not sell new or reproduction items so you can expect to find signs of the age and life that the piece has led. We believe this history adds to the story of an item. Obvious damage and faults will always be mentioned in our descriptions but minor age-related condition issues are not considered a detriment.
