Antique French cast bronze metal Louis XV rococo style petite curtain hold back or coat hook

An antique cast bronze d'or petite curtain hold back hook in classical French rococo chateau style.
This lovely French antique item was originally used to hold back a door or window curtain, and can be repurposed as a stylish chateau chic coat hook if you prefer.
The style is rococo or Louis XV, from the mid Eighteenth Century.
Design details are typically naturalistic with curling leaves, and asymmetric arrangement of the scrolling foliage. This piece could be from the 1760s or it might be a later version in the same style.
Size approx Depth from wall 9cm, height overall 14cm, hook height 9cm, plate height 7cm, width at back 3cm, width at front 5cm.
Condition is a little time-worn, the hook is slightly twisted and the gilt finish on the bronze body is rubbed and worn with the patina of many decades of use.

Deliveries to most other European destinations are generally to your doorstep unless it is much cheaper to use Pont Relais.
Outside of Europe we use La Poste International parcel service.
The sales tax is included in any sales so there should be nothing extra due to pay when your parcel arrives, subject to customs clearance. *The customer is responsible for any import duties incurred for an item. We will require a PHONE NUMBER to add to the customs forms, to help prevent any delays or transit problems. If you refuse delivery of an item due to customs costs, please be aware that your parcel's postage costs will be forfeit, although we are happy to refund the item purchase price upon return.

Obvious damage and faults will always be mentioned in our descriptions but minor age-related condition issues are not considered a detriment.
