Antique or vintage French rustic wooden three legged milking stool

A delightfully rustic handmade antique or vintage farmworkers milking stool in wood.
This item probably dates from the early twentieth century, it would have been handmade, hewn from timbers local to the farm's own workshop and used in the milking parlour.
The top of the stool is irregular in shape, with a curved front and straight back, there are three legs and this traditional tripod form made the item a sturdy seat even on the uneven floor of the cow byre.
The legs were roughly hewn from branches, they may have been smoothed by turning on a hand lathe, then the ends were split and a splice was hammered in to make the leg fit tightly into the hole in the top.
Generally this item is in good condition with a nice patina of age and use. There is some sign of age and wear to the top of the stool and the legs. See photos for indication of condition.
