Antique French textile canvas or grainsack boulangerie baguette bread sack with painted design and lettering

A vintage sacking, canvas or burlap grainsack sack. Wouldn't this be great filled with presents at Christmas? It would make a great display item in a retail environment, shop or perhaps as a wedding prop. You could also repurpose it as a large floor cushion or a bolster, or re-use the textile for projects.

The sack is woven with a central double blue stripe in the fabric in the traditional grainsack manner.
The top edge has a reinforced hem. All stitching is done by hand, much in a thick twine thread which is purposely visible as a decorative element. The side seams and circular base are also reinforced. The top hem also has hand worked eyelets to allow a draw string closure or to hang up the sack.
A good and rare item which was probably designed for use in carrying bread from the bakers, it is long and relatively narrow so it would be ideal to pack full of traditional French baguettes. Condition is fair with no holes or major wear, there is a water mark or stain which I have photographed. Probably this item dates from the first years of the c20th.
The front of the sack was hand-painted with the name F. Becam, there is a boulangerie with the name Becam in Angers. The lettering has faded along the length, the first two letters are still bright and clear although they may have been repainted. Under the lettering is a beautiful motif of a vase or pot of flowers sat on a table, the gentle fading of this makes it very attractive.
