antique French faience Gien terre de fer ironstone transfer ware lidded soupier tureen in rose palette

Antique lidded tureen or soupier in ironstone or terre de fer, with makers stamp for Gien and the pattern name Chardons.
This item is in the soft rose pink palette, called rouge claire in French.
Condition is very good for an antique item, there are some scratches and areas of fading or rubbing to the transfer pattern, but the handles are in good condition with only a couple of marks to the glaze, and the only small nibble I can find is on the rim of the soupier.
A lovely decorative addition to your shelf, dresser or hutch, and eminently useable for your dining table too. Use it for serving soups, vegetables and casseroles or even as a punch bowl!

Otherwise I will select the shop with the longest opening hours within your area. If you would prefer La Poste domestic delivery PLEASE ASK for a quote.
Deliveries to most other European destinations are generally to your doorstep unless it is much cheaper to use Pont Relais.
Outside of Europe we use La Poste International parcel service.
The sales tax is included in any sales so there should be nothing extra due to pay when your parcel arrives, subject to customs clearance. *The customer is responsible for any import duties incurred for an item. We will require a PHONE NUMBER to add to the customs forms, to help prevent any delays or transit problems. If you refuse delivery of an item due to customs costs, please be aware that your parcel's postage costs will be forfeit, although we are happy to refund the item purchase price upon return.
